Period of Leave of Absence
- Regular leave of absence: 1 semester (6 months) per leave of absence and maximum of 6 semesters (3 years).
- Military leave: During the compulsory military service period. The student must designate a return semester suitable for the semester that student is applying for a leave of absence
- Parental Leave: 1 semester (6 months) per leave of absence and up to 4 semesters (2 years).

Tuition will not be deducted if the student applies for a leave of absence within 10 days of the opening of the course. ※ If a student withdraws from school during the leave of absence, the tuition will be deducted at a specific rate based on the date the student applies for a leave of absence. |
The procedure of application for a leave of absence

Students who take leave of absence more than two times or three or more times consecutively, visit the office of the department and submit Additional Documents (Application for Leave, Statement of Reasons for Leave of Absence, Absence Report)
Outside of the application deadline

Military Leave
The student can apply for a leave of absence after the notice of enlistment has been issued even if the application due has passed,
However, freshmen are not allowed to take the first semester after admission for reasons other than illness, military service, pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.
If a student does not submit the supporting documents, the application of leave of absence may be canceled.

However, students who are enlisted after the final exam must take the final exam.

Additional Tuition Fee Payment for Returning Students
If a student wishes to take a leave of absence without paying tuition
- In the case that the student applied for a leave of absence through the Integrated Information System
- In the case that the student visited the office of the department and submitted the Application for Leave of Absence before the opening of the course, after the application period of leave of absence.
- In the case that a student submitted Application for Leave of Absence within 10 days from the start of the semester
If a student wants to pay the tuition and take a leave of absence
- The student prints out the tuition bill and makes payment within the due date and visits the office of the department to submit the Application for Leave of Absence. The tuition fee will be valid and replaced when returning to school. ((Except those who exceed the regular semesters)

Checklist after Application for Leave of Absence
- - Students can check the progress of approval and the status of the school register through the Integrated Information System.
- - Be sure to check the academic year and the semester of return after completion of the application for leave of absence.
If the student does not return to school at the expected returning semester, he may be expelled from school.
- - Students can take a leave of absence only if the tuition is paid in full during the semester. Therefore, note that students must apply for a leave of absence before the application period and the start date.
- - Students who did not extend the regular leave to military leave shall submit a certificate of service issued by the head of the unit or a certificate of military service issued by the military service office to the office of the department for the extension of the leave.
